Kwesi Pratt commends Nana Addo for his fight against galamsey

Kwesi Pratt, the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has praised President Nana Akufo-Addo for his determination to curb the illegal mining (galamsey) menace in the country.

The president had recently indicated that he will ensure that portions of the environment that had been depleted by galamsey activities are restored.

“No matter how difficult it is, we will win this fight. We will reclaim our heritage. We will get the rivers of our country running again. We will reclaim our lands.”

The President made this known at a sensitization workshop for traditional leaders on measures to address galamsey in Accra.

He further called on the chiefs and other relevant stakeholders to support government’s fight against the menace.

Kwesi Pratt has since expressed admiration for the president following what he calls the bold statements he made against the illegal mining menace.

Pratt told Accra-based Peace FM that the country needs leaders such as Akufo-Addo who will fight for a worthy course irrespective of fears of losing their second terms in office as a result.
